Welcome to Project Hobbit

Project Hobbit is our mission to teach, grow, and save the planet at the same time. We want to show the world that Earthships can be built by anyone, and you can have your dream homestead. We want to introduce the eco-ship community by having the members all pay a part of the land cost and keep a house available for people interested in earthships to stay and vacation in them to get a feel and see what they think of them.

We are based in B.C. Canada and are taking each day at a time the project is aimed at a 3 year goal but can move faster or slower based on the amount of help we get from family, friends and our community.

Our goal is to have homeschool groups come out and help on the build to learn new ways of building, we will give tours of the home once compleated to show you how it works. We want to show how small community living with involvement from everyone can really help and grow a sustainable small town feel that can translate into any residential area.

We hope you enjoy following us on this journey and that we keep you well informed on what is happening with Earthships, tiny homes and other means of alternative living and homesteading through our own findings, ourside articles and knowledge of our Project Hobbit Friends.
